We sold Natalie & Joe’s Avondale 2-Flat in record time — especially with these DIY’ers savvy style. See the ‘During’ of their current renovation, and stay tuned for the final result.

Their new home in Park Ridge is perfectly located and offered them space to grow into. The home, which had been in the previous owners family for generations, featured all the hallmarks of 1960s, 70s and 80s decor — shag carpet, foil wallpaper, pine panels, few overhead lights, outdated cabinets and more.

With their vision and some real elbow grease, Natalie and Joe are updating the home’s layout – replacing the stairwell, changing bathroom entry, reconfiguring hallways – as well as major cosmetic changes including hardwood floors, removing paneling & painting. They’re planning a phase II remodel of the kitchen layout (facelift for now) and have already completed significant electrical work in the house.
